Recently we sent a team of ours to school....Centurion and Supreme Boat school that is!  This was intense training and necessary to keep up with the new technology in the latest vessels and for honing our own skill set as well.

Of course it's natural to think of us this time of year when it's hot and boating season, but we also have clients who use RVs to pull their boats or simply like to roam the country in their house on wheels.  Sometimes accidents happen, and when they do don't forget about us!

If you've done much boating, especially on the Sacramento River, you know how tricky that the current can get out there.  So its not a total surprise to see a larger boat like this Eliminator have a dock mishap where there is some gelcoat damage.  No worries though, since James Boat Repair is here to help!

Recently this beautiful Eliminator Daytona was brought in for a pretty good scrape on the rear quarter, right into the gorgeous red gelcoat that makes up the rear area of the boat. Color like this can be tricky, but James has years of experience and no job like this gelcoat repair is too big.  Here's a look at the scrape before he started his magic to repair it.

Now here's a look at the finished product.  Note that the Daytona owner decided to just leave the decal off.

Moral of the story?  Well, when a mishap takes place, don't panic.  Do what insurance companies have been doing for years - call James' Boat Repair!

James' Boat Repair is going North!  No, they aren't planning to leave the Dixon facility, but rather expand into the northern Reno/Tahoe market due to the increasing number of inquiries and jobs emanating from that area.  Details will be forthcoming once a final destination is set for the new shop, but there is definitely a northern plan afoot for JBR!  

The crew in Dixon is doing great and their skill and ability for timely turnaround makes this all possible.  Look for more news on this soon, as it becomes available.

Recently James got a request from an older Wellcraft Cruiser owner to update it's look. He suggested a thorough clean up, some paint for the underside of the boat which was worn from years in the water, and some fresh new graphics to modernize the look.  

They agreed to the changes, and then decided to really add to the boats appeal with two great loungers, custom designed to fit perfectly and match the boat's classy interior.  By mounting them on the closed bow, the vessel not only uses space not previously used, but adds a visual accent and a bit of practicality for it's owners.  

​Now, with two beautifully accented loungers that are as comfortable as they are good looking, the Wellcraft has an even more impressive stature.

The owners love the new look and function!  Now they have a social space on board that previously was only used for dropping and lifting an anchor!  And it adds interest and prestige to the stance of the boat.

To top it all off, James designed some beautiful matching covers to protect the loungers from the elements when not in use.  A great affordable way to increase space and function while updating the entire look and feel of the boat!

So you wish you had some tunes to motivate you to do that corked spin move you want to try, and all you hear is the engine of your tow boat?  Well, James Boat Repair has a fix for that, as they did for this recent addition to a 2008 Mastercraft.  James added 4 large speakers with built in LED lighting (in the color of this nice looking boat!) to the tower and now whatever tune motivates is right back at ya!  These speakers not only sound great, but look great too!  Take a look:
